Multimedia University

Multimedia University (MMU) @ Educity, Faculty of Creative Multimedia campus was designed to accommodate 500 students. The building form was created from basic geometrical forms with the creative application of non-linear paths across the basic forms that create a convergence of modern contemporary architecture. The facade of the building has the resemblance of Art-deco symbolising their cinematic program relation with the cinema buildings in the past.

The faculty building consists of lecture rooms, tutorial rooms, film preview theatre, post-production facilities, a cinema, sound stage and multi-camera studios with acoustic and lighting performance requirements to provide state of the art facilities for cinematic study.

NUMED Newcastle University
The Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed) campus development accommodates a complete 1,000 student medical faculty building equipped with the latest technology. It is the first building completed at EDUCITY in Iskandar Malaysia.
The architectural design is based on the concept of loose grouping with strong linear linkages. The building facade portrays a clean clinical look with aluminium composite material. Buildings are interconnected via glass and composite panel covered walkways.
The inviting arches and embellishments incorporated at the Administration Building emulate the signatory Arches at the Newcastle University in the UK to mark its presence in the Malaysian campus. A green canopy landscape concept is incorporated in the development to blend the buildings with their natural environment.

Tun Hussein Onn University
The Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education, UTHM is part of the new University's Education Hub which is situated around the student centre known as the 3rd Node.
The building facade is a dual frontage that addresses the 3rd node and the ring road in front. The faculty's design image reflects the current Library's design nearby. It carries a modern tropical contemporary design with defined vertical and horizontal lines.
The development constraint is that it has to cater for future development. Given the constraint, a tower block is proposed which houses the administration and academic staff with a 7-storey atrium, a connecting learning centre with library and tutorial rooms and 2 blocks of 2 to 3-storey linear designed multi-discipline labs to accommodate 1,440 students.

The School of Science & Technology consists of three main buildings: Block A Science and Technology Laboratory (Biology), Block B Management and tutorial area, Block C Science and Technology Laboratory (Physics).
The general layout plan for this school is tied in with other nearby Schools such as the Engineering and Technical Schools. The landform, natural features such as the river and the reservoir, orientation and views are integrated into the planning of the various Schools.
The design theme attempts to harmonize the design amongst the various Schools through the use of common design elements such as the pitched roof, exposed structural framework and latticed walls in the external treatment of the buildings.
